We will be working on research projects on China from this week; each student will be assigned with specific writing areas; I will send further information home if needed. So far, the most research and writing will be done in the classroom in Chinese literacy time; 2. In order to enhance our students’ Chinese literacy, listening and speaking skills, we are sending the Chinese Reader home! These Chinese Readers are very nicely written. The book this week is called Where is dragon. The audio is on our district foreign language website. Please ask your kid to at least read the book with the audio for about 5 minutes three times throughout the week. The way that your kid will be better learning to read is when he/she is reading, his/ her finger should point at the character along with the reading. If you want to help your kid learn, the last three pages are translation (Chinese, pinyin and English), match quiz and vocabulary. These books will be sent home on Monday and should be returned on Friday. If you need it for extended time for your kid to read at home, please e-mail me or note me in planner. Please take good care of our Chinese Reader books since every book is numbered and please understand that you will be responsible for any missing books.
